My husband and I we are going to celebrate our 20th anniversary today! I can not believe how fast the 20 years went by.
A wedding anniversary is the celebration of love, trust, partnership, tolerance, and tenacity i guess the order varies for every year given.
20years later, 3kids later, many moves later we are still very much in love. Our marriage is truly a testament of how great marriage can be when we allow God to heal, forgive, and start over.
Marriage is not always a fairy story. No one gets to walk off the sunset and live happy ever after.
No, marriage is a mix of great times and not so great ones. Our 20years, has not been perfect by any stretch of imagination. We have had our trails and struggles just like everyone else but we learn to look past the imperfect past and only notice the great parts and working on our own imperfections.
Parenthood is the best thing that every happened to us and yet at times it has been challenged and changed and divided us, but event he choppy water of child(teens) raising, the financial worries, the insecurities of being self employed we have manged to support each other, and allowed God to be the centre of everything was that easy?....NO but it keep us from having a marital breakdown and we are stronger than ever as a result.
I am grateful for the gift of our relationship and our blessed family.
