Tastes Great, Less Filling

Today I'm home with a bad swallow face due to an allergy so this morningfor my devotion I read the gospel of Mattew, and I believe the true gospel and message of Jesus Christ is complete and total self-denial taking up one's cross and following Him(Mattew 16:24) Most churches today are not always preaching the same gospel that Jesus Christ preached. I believe that a lot of messages on Sunday mornings are on easy down gospel or if your familiar with John MacArthus words he would say "Christianity lite"

The problem is that I meet people that they were lead wrong out of this Christianity lite, they are being let down the board road to hell and the sad thing is that their religious leaders think they are on the road to heaven. They will be greatly disappointed when they will reach Haven's road only to hear Jesus say"Depart from me, I never knew you"(Mattew 7:23)

Jesus said that the road is narrow and only "few" find it. This is so true when you have so many out there trying to gospel tailor to our needs, asking what can Jesus can do for us, not what He wants you to do for Him. In my opinion is all about self-fulfillment and self esteem.

The problem is that no matter what they do no one will get saved without the working of the Spirit in the heart. Only the true message of the gospel can save and no matter how hard they try to make the gospel taste better and easy to digest it will not save a single soul.

The road of life is narrow and hard at times, Jesus requirements for Heaven is that we deny our selves pick up the cross and follow Him.

My prayer today was that you are not misled. Let's all celebrate in Heaven the gospel is clear, the gospel that save the is true gospel or the christiany lite.

Until next time,

In His love,
Magda
